my weekend

This weekedn was a fun one for me. I was at my dads this weekend. First on firday I had a soccer game. It was vs uhigh. The final score didnt show it but we did good. We lost 2-1. Secondly i had to take baseball pictures, and im not a really big fan of taking pictures. Lastly I went to my dads house and we celebrated his and his twin brother's (my uncle) birthday.

At the begiining of this quarter one of my goals was to try to raise my grade. You may be asking yourself what this has to do with my weekend, but it ties end. Even though i had a busy weekend i still completed all y homework when i could have just blown it off. I'm not going to do that this quarter because i love to play sports and i cant if my grades arent good.

150 minutes

This week was good for me. We didnt have to read 150 minutes. Instead we had to use are minutes towards our project. I think this was more productive for me than actually having to read.

I used my 150 minutes on my project and norton. First i read norton and i was able to complete my homework. I think the reading in norton was helpful exspecially the section about how to do work cited. Then then the rest of my minutes was on my project. At first I just added on to the paper. Then after i wrote a pretty good bit i just started over. I started from the beginning and jsut read my paper through to see how it was. When i got done reading I liked the paper. Lastly I made a more detailed outline compared to my other outline. I made a outline up to where I was in my paper then I just added on. Im going to finish my paper and revolve around my outline which i think is really going to help.

reading response

Reading is  not my favorite thing to do so it's hard for me to find a book good enough to finish or for me to like. I think i've found the perfect and im only in the beginning. The book is Coming Back Stronger. It's by Drew Brees.

Since i'm only in the begining nothing much has happened. So far Drew Brees has just been talking about his childhood and growing up. He was born on January 15, 1979. Drew Brees grew up with a younger brother. His name was Reid Brees. Drew says he got his competitiveness from playing sports against his brother because he never wanted to loose to his brother.

I had a great weekend. An event that happened this weekend made me reflect on the past. It was my grandmother's birthday. She was turning 66. A lot of people would say whats so special because in this world a lot of people live to be older than that.
Well this was a special one. I had to think about last year when my grandmother was in real bad condition. The only thing keeping her alive was life support. My uncles and aunts and dad came to a conclusion to take her off of life support and let her go to a happier and better place. Since she was going to be taken off, I went and saw her for the last time. The worst part was she couldn't even talk to us. Then the day came when the doctor was going to take her off. When the doctor took her off the life support she started breathing, it was a miracle. She is still alive till this day. This is a inspiring story to me because she use to always say I want to live long enough to watch you play high school sports.

coming back stronger

My book is Coming Back Stronger. It's by Drew Brees. It's a bibliography of him

What made me choose this book is that it's my favorite team the New Orleans Saints. It's also about one of my favorite players. Also from prior knowledge that his life is pretty inspirational,

Fishing

Dear Class,
Most of my weekends i'm busy. Either with school work or sports. Occasionally I have a free weekend. When I have a free weekend I love to spend it on the water fishing.

When I go fishing I go to my uncles camp in Napoleonville/donaldsinville and we fish on Lake Verret. Normally it's pretty good place to fish. Mainly you catch catfish and bass. The best thing about going to the camp is it's just a guys weekend and you have father son bonding.

New year

It's now a new year. 2011 is the past and 2012 is the present. You should move on from 2011 but dont completely forget about it. Use 2011 a guidance for 2012.
  ]
With 2012 beginning you learn from your mistakes you made last year. Also with the new year you should try to set reasonable goals. Also with the new year i believe every one should start with a clean plate.
