150 minutes

My 150 minutes was spent reading chapter 6 and 7 of Nervous Conditions. Each week i say it as gotten better than in the beginign and it has. I mainly want to talk about ch. 6.

I think ch.6 shows some segregation. It's not shown a lot since black and whites have the ability to go to school toghether. It's mainly shown through Tambu. She refers to them as those people. This also kind of gives background of the time period.

Mardi Gras break

Last week was our Mardi Gras break. I was happy that we got a week off for it considering some school only got like three days off for it. The good thing about the break was that it was well needed. I really liked the break but mainly just because i wasn't at school. This break allowed me to do things that I haven't done before.

This year's Mardi Gras break I was able to go to New Orleans. It was my first ever going to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. I didn't think it would have been so much fun, but it was. I went on friday and I went to the three parades that were going on friday. I really liked that the parades came literally back to back because you barely spent any time waiting for the next parade to start. After I went to New Orleans most of time was just spent a home. This break gave me the chance to hang out with a freind that I dont normally get to see during the week since he doesn't go to Episcopal. In conclusion this was probably one of the funnest Mardi Gras breaks for me.

My weekend

This weekend was a fun one for me. First of all since it was raining on Friday baseball practice was canceled. I was happy beacause I got to go to the Hornets basketball game. They played the Portland Trailblaizers. Even though they lost I still had fun.

The rest of my weekend was for baseball. I had a scrimage vs Dunham. It was sunday. On sunday it felt freezing. It was the most miserable game ive been to since it was cold.

150 minutes

This week I spent my 150 minutes reading Nervous conditions. Then I spent the rest of time working on making up literary analysis. This week I read ch. 4. I think the book has gotten better compared to what I thought it would be after I read chapter 1. In chapter Tambu got to go to school which suprised me since I thought only the oldest usually boys could go to school.

After reading I spent the rest of my time working on my literary analysis. Now im just making it up. I didnt think I would do as bad as i did but im gonna try to pull it up. I'm happy to know that i know my grade will pull the at least the slightest of bit if i just put a citation and the correct mla format.

Reading response

This week I spent my 150 minutes reading and working on my report. This weekend I was able to complete my paper. I was excited that I finished but then I realized it's only the rough draft I still have a way to go to the end. Even though i'm not finish with the whole process I was still glad I finished the rough draft. Then when i went to class my teacher said i forgot to do a work cited so then i was like aw man.

My other 150 minutes were used on reading Nervous Condition. I did not like the beginning. I don't think the author did a good job because he did not make me want to read more. So far I dont like the book but i'm not giving up yet and i'm going to try to finish the book.

Free post

Now we are in the third quarter of school and were rounding up the year. I'm excited the year is almost over except im not ready for exams. This semester my goal was to make all A's and B's. Trying to do that has made me stressed especially now during the time when were are doing our papers.

At Episcopal I play sports. It seems like during the day i'm always looking forward to my sports practice especially if i'm stressed. It seems when i'm at a sports practice I go into my own little world and nothing at school is relevant. So basically I like to go to my sport practices because it's a stress reliever for me. Does anyone else feel that way?
